Why people Hurt Others? Reaction to Connecticut School Shooting.

Every time something tragic happens, many people wonder why and how anyone can hurt innocent people. We start to hear "expert" opinions and try to find solutions to the problems. It is understandable to be hurt by these things but always remember that God not only comforts us, He also gives us answers. The biggest problem I see in society today is that we are using human logic, which is never co
rrect. I hear so many people say that humans are born loving and learn hate. As long as we keep with this logic, hate will continue to grow in our world. God is very clear that all humans are born with hate (and all humans have hate in them) and we learn love. Actually, no one knows love without God. Everyone who has children should know this.

I remember the first time my daughter, Abigail had her first temper. It proved that what I have known long ago was true. For those of you who do not know, Paula and I homeschool our children. So, Abigail wasn't going to a public preschool, she hasn't gone to day care, she hasn't been baby sat by anyone at the time this occurred. The only time she has been in any social setting was at church and other gatherings that Paula and I attended. So, no influence by anyone. Paula and I have never fought or raised our voices either. One day, Abigail wasn't getting her way. She had a royal fit. Oh she was screaming, stomping, and not listening to me at all. She was ANGRY and showing hate. Where did she learn this? She didn't. We can also look in the Bible and see the first hate that occurred. It wasn't taught by anyone. And think back to the first time someone was prejudice towards another person. Who taught it? Now, this isn't to say that different types of hate isn't taught. Yes, I can (and do) teach Abigail to love everyone no matter what and end up having someone teach her to be prejudice. But, we need to keep in mind that the root of hate isn't an object or taught to us. It is already in us. It is love that is taught to us by our family.

You see, hate is growing because we are not addressing the root problem. The root problem is that we are not teaching our children love. It is said that if you want to destroy a country, destroy the family. Where is the first place a child is taught love? Who shows a child how to deal with anger? Who shows a child how to deal with their first conflict? Who is the first people who shows a child how a man is to treat a woman and vice versa? Most loving actions is taught to a child within the first 5 years of childs life. Raise your hand if you never felt sudden rage (no ones hands better be raised). How did you handle it and why? There is a good chance you felt that same rage at a very very young age and you learned that it is OK to feel anger and rage but it is wrong to act on it. This, by the way is also said in the Bible. Not acting in anger is one of many acts of love taught to us.

We will never end hate and therefor, people will always be hurt. God does allow this to happen to show us that we are nothing without Him. We are not perfect beings and we can never have perfect love without Him. We, as Christians, must keep this in mind. Especially if we have young children. Our children have hate already in them. Yes, that cute little princess or prince has hate. That hate will grow and get worse unless we teach them how to love. I have always made a promise to myself. Never forget where I use to be. I am not perfect nor was I ever perfect. I too have hate. It is only because I was taught love, that I know love.

Take care and God Bless.

Keys to Financial Success: Stewardship

"Precious treasure and oil are in a wise man's dwelling, but a foolish man devours it."  Proverbs 21:20

One of the many blessings of being inspired to do these video blogs is that God speaks to me  through them.  This blog isn't just for y'all, but it also speaks to me.  This is the area that I have fallen short in my finances.  God is very clear that if we are not good stewards of the things He gives us, He will not bless us with more.
